The Truth About the Bungalow 25 GB
The name, as mentioned, is not actually 25 GB, which actually refers to the adjacent building where drivers stay. The sign designating the buildings misled people, so the bungalow became known as 25 GB.
But when was it built? Some sources say that 25 GB Bungalow dates back to the 1850s, but the reality is quite different. It appears that the bungalow was built when foreigners named Johnny and Brown were managers in 1961-62. Or it may have been built in 1951, the figures given by different sources vary. While the tea plantation itself is probably as antique as the 1850s, the bungalow itself is not.
