Something really strange happened last night. I was sitting in the living room watching TV when I saw a shadow move out of the corner of my eye. At first I thought it was just an illusion of lithe, or maybe my cat. But when I looked around, there was nothing there. I shrugged and went back to my performance.
A moment later I felt this sudden chill in the room, like a frosty draft, even though all the windows were closed. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was an eerie feeling, like someone was watching me. I tried to ignore it, but then I heard a pliable whisper. The sound was so lackluster that I couldn't make out any words, but it definitely sounded like someone was trying to talk to me.
I lowered the volume on the TV and listened more carefully. The whispers continued, coming from the corridor. Gathering my courage, I stood up and slowly walked towards the sound. My heart was pounding in my chest and I felt a mixture of fear and curiosity. When I reached the corridor, I saw a lackluster, lucid figure standing there. It looked like a person, but I could see right through it.
I froze, not knowing what to do. The figure didn't move or speak; he just stood there, almost as if he was waiting for something. I tried to call out, but my voice got stuck in my throat. After what seemed like an eternity, the figure slowly disappeared, leaving me standing in stunned silence.
I don't know what I saw or if my mind was just playing tricks on me, but it felt incredibly real. The whole experience shook me and I wondered if I had just encountered a ghost. I had heard stories about haunted houses and apparitions, but I never thought I would experience something like this myself. Now I can't stop thinking about what it could have been and if it will happen again.
