Cooinda is only 225 km from Pine Creek, NT, Australia. I spent my last night there camping on a fishing safari and was ready for the long journey back to my hometown, Katherine, which is over 300km or more. It was probably 3:00 a.m. when I heard someone shout, “Holy Shiat!” Myself, my friends and a few other campers ran to the toilet (which was 500m away) to see what the commotion was. Before I go any further, I want to add a little information: the Cooinda area is full of mysteries and there are many ghost sightings, bunyips, etc. We all got there and the man we all voted for was screaming, shaking and as pale as vanilla ice cream. He was looking in the mirror where a message was written on the steam coming out of the balmy shower: “Be careful or your soul may be taken away”! The man swore he was the only one in the toilet block and didn't hear anyone else come inside. And to make things twice as confusing, when I looked in the mirror again, the toilet door started slamming and closing on its own. Everyone (including me and my buddies) ran back to camp, ignoring the pale sounds of the restroom door opening.
The next morning I went to shower in the same toilet and everything was dead, nothing was moving. I took a shower, came out and then I heard a blood-curdling scream (I think it was a woman's) coming from the toilet. I was so scared! I went to look around, no one was there, I told the receptionist before leaving, she surprisingly heard it too, and the mystery still remains as “Cooinda ghost”.
Thanks.
