ANDIt was a chilly and chilly night as I drove home from a party on an empty road. There is an aged church called the aged Pink Church. People there say that if you walk past, something will follow you. Well, I didn't really believe the story, so I passed by. When suddenly I felt someone looking at the back of my head and I heard miniature footsteps coming with mine. I was afraid to turn around and see who was there, but my gut told me so I did and saw no one. After walking for a while, I heard a still humming sound behind me. I didn't pay much attention to it and kept walking, but this time a little faster. When suddenly I heard the noise again. I sped up a little, faster, when someone tapped me on the shoulder. Scared and terrified, I ran all the way home. When I got home, I closed the doors and all the windows. I called my mother to see if she was home, but no one answered. At that moment I heard a raucous banging on the door. Then I called out in a tender voice, “Who is it?” No one answered, so I stayed where I was, and after a while I ran to my room and threw myself under the covers.
After about 10-15 minutes I heard still footsteps coming up the stairs. I thought it was my mother, so I got up and went to the door, but before I opened it, I remembered that the front door never opened. Before I could get back to bed, there were footsteps outside the door and the doorknob turned. I couldn't move and suddenly the door opened and there stood my pale looking mother in clothes that were either really bleached or just made that way. She said she called my name but I didn't hear it. She told me to go with her and I said I wanted to go to bed earlier and she agreed.
When I felt something fishy was going on because my mother never wore white, I ran down the stairs to where I thought I heard her. But I found no one in the house with me, no sign of anyone being there. Later that evening I told my mom and she replied that she hadn't been home since she left that morning. From that moment on, I believed the story about being followed when you walk past a church.
