Noh, this isn't an event that happened in front of me, but it definitely happened to my grandfather. My dad told me this story and it gave me a chance to look at the ghosts that have not yet rested but don't actually “scare” people to death. Here is my grandfather's story:
My grandfather was only 36 years senior and obviously needed a job. He looked around at the agriculture, the shops across the street, even the oldest factory that was quite far away. No work. Finally, after 3 weeks of searching, he saw an advertisement “night shift bus driver wanted”. At that time, he didn't care what the job was and when he had to work, he only cared about supporting his family.
After a few days, he got a job from sunset to an hour before sunset. The bus driving job was steady, he didn't really have any passengers unless it was someone who also worked slow. He soon learned which passengers had arrived, what time they arrived, and where they should be dropped off.
But after a year of work, he found a novel rider who would ride just for this one night. He saw a man standing at a bus stop where no one had ever stood before, and for the first time he was able to stop there. The man was described as: stocky, pale, wearing a blue suit (which was very strange because it is very heated in Samoa, even at night). Like every other customer, my grandfather greeted him with a smile. Being a kind man, my grandfather also tried to talk to him. He asked him, “How are you doing this evening?” “Where did you come from?” and regular interview questions. The only thing this man answered was where he should be dropped off.
Grandpa tried to coax something cheerful out of the pale man, but there was no reaction. As soon as the bus reached the man's designated destination, the grandfather opened the door, looked in the mirror and said to him, “This is your stop, sir,” and looked straight ahead. Usually at this time you can hear the passenger gathering his things and heading forward. But not this time. He heard dead silence. He looked in the mirror again and saw nothing.
