One compelling hypothesis suggests that the number of UAP observations increases in times of heightened geopolitical tension, especially when the threat of nuclear war increases.
Over the past five years, as the Doomsday Clock ticks closer to midnight, reports of UFO activity have increased. This pattern is consistent with the claim that national health care institutions are deeply concerned about the devastating potential of nuclear weapons not only for humanity but also for the planet itself.
This theory posits that NHI may have the ability to monitor and even neutralize nuclear arsenals. Reports from military personnel detail incidents in which UFOs allegedly hovered over nuclear silos, temporarily disabling launch systems. Could this be an intentional message: “We are watching and we will not let your world be destroyed”?
Big nuclear bluff?
Another intriguing point of view is the idea that nuclear weapons may not work as we think. Some theorists argue that NHIs have rendered these weapons ineffective, perhaps through advanced technology or fundamental suppression of nuclear capabilities. If true, it would explain the extraordinary secrecy surrounding nuclear arsenals and the geopolitical posture based on their deterrent value.
It may also explain the near-universal agreement among nuclear powers to prevent fresh countries from developing nuclear weapons. The sudden cessation of nuclear testing by major powers – from 1992 for the US and 1990 for Russia – fuels this speculation.
If these weapons are, as some say, “expensive paperweights,” their value is more about perception than practicality. Any public disclosure of this truth could destabilize global power structures.
The last confirmed nuclear test took place in September 2017, when North Korea carried out its sixth nuclear detonation. If UFOs are indeed concerned about humanity's utilize of nuclear weapons, why has their reported activity not increased around North Korea, a country that openly opposes its nuclear ambitions?
One possibility is that the UFO may have been initially unaware of North Korea's entry into the nuclear arena. North Korea's relatively isolated position on the world stage could pose unique challenges even to extraterrestrial intelligence.
Unlike during the Cold War, when nuclear tensions centered around the two dominant powers, the multipolar and less predictable nature of today's nuclear landscape could complicate their apparent strategy.
This hypothesis not only expands the scope of the “nuclear merger” theory, but also suggests that the actions – or inactions – of these unidentified actors may depend on how they prioritize potential risks to humanity or the planet as a whole.
If true, North Korea's nuclear program, while significant, could still be viewed as less immediately threatening than a full-scale nuclear conflict involving multiple superpowers.
A particular event often cited in these discussions is 2018 Ballistic Missile Alert in Hawaii, which turned out to be a false alarm. Although official explanations attribute it to human error, it could have been a test of public reaction – or even a moment of actual intervention.
If national research institutes monitor nuclear capabilities, events like these could be an attempt to prevent accidents or send a signal to governments that their actions are being monitored.

New players, aged rules
The entry of fresh nuclear powers like North Korea into this tender equation raises questions about the impact of this active on the global stage. If NHIs do indeed neutralize nuclear potential, why would they allow tests by countries like North Korea?
These tests may go unnoticed at first, but may later prompt intervention. Alternatively, recognized nuclear powers can act as intermediaries, enforcing “rules” set by national public institutions.
Some analysts argue that the world's great powers maintain a façade of unity when it comes to nuclear weapons precisely because the illusion of their functionality is vital to global stability.
Any deviation from this narrative – such as a fresh nation revealing the ineffectiveness of nuclear weapons – could unravel decades of strategic posturing.
The notion that national utilities are actively interfering with our nuclear capabilities raises another question: why?
Some argue that NHI have a vested interest in Earth's ecosystems and may view humanity's nuclear ambitions as a threat to their own existence. If they shared our planet – whether underwater, underground, or even in parallel dimensions – they would have every reason to prevent a nuclear catastrophe that could threaten their habitats.
Dr. Michael Salla, a researcher of international politics and a prominent figure in the field of ufology, discussed theories according to which extraterrestrial civilizations – whether interdimensional or otherwise – may be interested in humanity's capabilities and utilize of nuclear weapons.
He suggests that such entities may have intervened to prevent the utilize of nuclear weapons, particularly after incidents such as UFO sightings near military bases and nuclear facilities.
There is also a more disturbing possibility: NHI may view humanity as an experiment, and preventing nuclear war is a way to preserve their “investment.”
This perspective portrays NHIs as coldly pragmatic, intervening not out of altruism, but to ensure the survival of a resource they consider valuable – whether that is the planet's biodiversity or humanity itself.
If governments have evidence that national public institutions are monitoring or interfering with nuclear facilities, the public should know about it. With the stakes so high, understanding the true nature of these interactions can open the way to de-escalation and a future less burdened by the shadow of nuclear war.
