AND I met my best friend Diane during our first year at high school (1980). We both lived in Whittier. Diane lived on the Vista Street brand near Colima Road, and if any of you know this area, you know that many ghostly things are happening there. Recently, you could hear our local news about the body of a woman in Whittier, well, it was on Colima Road, next to Mar Vista in the area of the canyon. The woman worked for Coca Cola in Downey and was to submit a divorce application when she disappeared for several weeks. In the end they found her body, in the canyon a little less than 4 weeks ago. So far, the murderer has not been caught, but they think it was her husband, because for some reason the woman was to ask to take care of her daughter from a previous relationship. Not only that, but she was also to testify about sexual harassment in her work …
Returning to our original story … One day Diane and I skipped school and went to her house. She had a very nice house because her parents had money and I was impressed – well, as long as I entered. It was handsome with many great furniture and immense rooms, but something worried me, or rather nervous. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I was afraid. Diane had to apply the bathroom and I asked her not to do it. She laughed and said what was wrong with you. Needless to say, I went to the bathroom with her. Later we left to spend time in a shopping center, and she never said a word about her home. Well, even after high school, we remained best friends, and I was now a member of her family.
One night I stayed there with her. I think it had to be in 1986. There was the same ghostly feeling, but I survived the night without anything with me or terrifying. Then, a few years later, in 1988 or 1989, I celebrated Christmas at her home. I saw her sister and husband in the other room, so I approached them to join them. They laughed, so I asked what was so comical and told me that they laugh at the spirit at home. I said “What!” … Then they told me that everyone felt presence and finally saw it. Diane said that she once got with her in bed. She felt someone got into bed with her and thought that her sister Nancy was coming home drunk. Diane says she was lying on her side and that the person put her hand. She looked down, but she didn't see her shoulder that feels her on her yet. So she jumps out of bed and ran to her parents' room. They told her that they often woke up in the middle of the night to find someone who was looking at the bedroom from the room. They said that he would never enter their room, but they would see that his head was looking.
Her sister Nancy actually saw it one night. She woke up with the impression that someone was behind her. She stood face to the wall and said that she did not want to turn and look, but he was afraid that it could be a burglar. So she forced herself to turn around and said that she saw a black, hooded figure standing there. She screamed, jumped out of bed and actually ran next to him to his parents' room. She was supposed to see it again, but this time in broad daylight. He says she returned home from school around 16:30 one afternoon with her boyfriend and that she forgot about her key inside. Well, they found an open window, so he gave her support, and she began to climb through the window to a spare room used for storage. She was almost inside when she looked up and saw a black, hooded figurine, which enters the room she entered. She shouted at her boyfriend to pull her away quickly, and once outside she told him what happened, and waited for her mother to return home.
“Thing” finally came to the parents' bedroom one night, and her mother was the one who saw her and began to shout so that her husband would wake up, but he did not. Even his face was his nails, and he still didn't wake up. She managed to run and turn on the lithe and disappeared. I was a bit irate on them that I never told me from the very beginning. Especially Diane, because she knew that I was afraid that I went to her home first day, but she said nothing. She said that many people always had the same feeling when they went there and knew what it was, but she didn't want to scare anyone.
In the end everyone moved out and their cousins took over the house. Cousins did not take their ghost stories seriously, but from what Diane told me, this family was in sedate confusion since moving. There is a possible cause of all this. Father Diane's friend came one day and asked them: “What are you doing about it?” … It was a statue that was found in a Mexican cave and according to a friend, it is a bad God that people would make. Diane's mother said they bought it in the old-fashioned store and liked it because it was different. Her parents did not believe that the statue could be persecuted, so they never wondered – and yes, they left the statue there when they moved out.
One quick note about this area (Colima Road), one night, when I returned home from my friend's house in 1998, it was exactly midnight and when I reached the top of the hill, UFO flew just above the road. At the beginning I thought it could be a reflection on my windshield, but I already got to the top of the hill, where there are no street lights, everything is dim. UFOs looked like a tennis ball on the length of the arm and simply sent on my path above the Colim RD heading towards the area of La Habra. UFOs, ghosts, murders, urban legends, they are all well known in the area of Colima RD Canyon …
If someone knows this area, share intriguing stories that you can have.
