AND I was getting ready to lie down in my bed after placing my first born daughter in the crib in the next room… A few moments later I heard a male voice “Oh look baby” coming from my baby's room through the baby monitor. But my husband was lying next to me, my father and mother were already sleeping in their own bed 2 rooms away, my grandparents (on my mother's side) were in my mother-in-law's quarters (which was located up the driveway on the hill) and were already asleep. I think it was my slow grandparents or my grandfather (paternal) who died a year ago who came to wish the baby a welcome. Anyway, I jumped out of bed and grabbed the baby. Then she slept in her bed next to my bed or in my bed for a long time!
I've seen my father's mother watching me sleep or play the piano in the past, but the fact that they came to my baby scared me a little. I know they would never hurt her, but the thought that it could have been something else with a helpless baby kept me from putting her back in her crib. Freaky.
Even as I write this, someone/thing is playing with my hair, running a finger through it or just stroking it lightly… It's quite annoying.
