TIt happened in the summer of 2006, we were on a family vacation in Oak Island Northern Karolina. We stopped at a house belonging to my aunt and uncle, and this house was the most terrifying home. One day me and my sisters played on the road, and the window of the room downstairs began to rise really slowly and you could see the shadowy standing figure. We were so scared when we went to the room to see who was there, but to our surprise the room was empty and the window was closed. Without thinking about it, we didn't play.
About 45 minutes later, our mother called us in an urgent tone. When we entered, she got scared to death. We asked her what happened, she said that she had the impression that someone was at home with her, so she said: “If you, Robena, haunt this house, give me a sign” and as she said that she had a nice breeze, but she was not within the range of the fan. Later that night, when I and my sister got out of bed to go to the bathroom, I saw a huge golden mirror above the sofa, but I didn't really think about it. When we returned to bed, my sister turned the other way and I was lying on my back. I was a bit scared, so I asked “if you sleep”, and because I didn't get the answer, I turned my head the other way. And what I saw made me almost crying. It was a high white figure with liquid hair and black eyes. I hit my sister and made her get up and looked, and she saw it too. We both fell into the living room, shouting and woke up our mother, she was very lightweight, but she didn't hear us screaming. And when I looked at the sofa, there was no massive golden mirror.
We packed all our things and left this house at 1:00 am. When we returned home, we told people about the spirit we saw and had similar experiences. We also learned that our grandmother who lived in the room below had a golden mirror. It was the most terrible thing that has ever existed. But we go back there every summer.
