Alien abductions are a widely discussed topic in the field of ufology. Such incidents typically involve individuals who claim to have been abducted by extraterrestrials, often against their will, and subjected to various experiments or studies.

These experiences are typically characterized by a lack of time, strange dreams or memories, physical marks, and a deep sense of trauma or disorientation. While mainstream science often dismisses these accounts as sleep paralysis, mental disorders, or hoaxes, many researchers and experiencers believe that alien abductions are real phenomena.

Gare Allen is an author known for his work on paranormal subjects, including alien abductions. His work delves into various aspects of the phenomenon, drawing from both his own experiences and a wider body of research and testimony related to extraterrestrial encounters. Allen's approach combines personal narratives, scientific research, and metaphysical perspectives.

One of the key areas in which Gare Allen contributes to the alien abduction discussion is his exploration of the emotional and psychological impact these experiences have on individuals.

Abductees often report feelings of fear, disorientation, and helplessness, both during and after encounters. Some experience long-term trauma, similar to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), while others develop a fascination or obsession with the phenomenon, seeking more information or even experiencing repeated abductions.

Under hypnosis, many unfortunate abduction victims recall horrifying memories of gruesome alien encounters and painful physical experiments.

Their memories include time spent aboard alien spacecraft, paralyzed, often by unseen restraints, frozen in cool metal beds. They often recall images of strange and gray extraterrestrials who watched and studied them, apparently in search of scientific information.

Understandably rejecting these memories is preferred to accepting the horrific reality of abduction and invasive procedures. However, there may be other signs of alien abduction that can be found outside of hypnosis, in the waking state.

1. Unexplained blood

Alleged abductee Sylvia Wineroth, now in her 40s, underwent airy hypnosis and recalled multiple abductions by miniature, gray creatures in the summer of 1999. She explains one reason she sought regression therapy to uncover the truth.

“Every night when I go to bed I cover myself completely with the sheets. However, in the morning I start to wake up and I am lying on the sheets and blanket. Several times I look down and I see small red spots by my feet. When I look closer I discover that it is blood. I searched all over my legs but I did not find any wounds or cuts. Then I examined the whole body for the source of the blood but I did not find anything that could explain it.”

Although she didn't notice any apparent signs of bleeding, a visit to the doctor after the dizziness revealed a possible explanation.

“After I almost fainted from dizziness, my son took me to the doctor. They ran tests and discovered I was suffering from exsanguination.” Exsanguination is a solemn loss of blood.

2. Sleepwalking

Millions of people have reported witnessing their loved ones sleepwalking. The common belief is that the mind continues to work while the body rests and commands the body to perform tasks scheduled for the next day or simply out of desire.

Abductees reported sudden sleepwalking experiences. Family and friends found them in various locations throughout the house and safely guided them back to bed. Upon awakening, they had no memory of their movements or activities throughout the house.

In Sylvia’s case, her sleepwalking episodes became so constant that her son Brian refused to go to his bedroom until his mother took a nightly walk. He explained that she did the same thing every time.

“My mother would come out of her bedroom with a terrified look on her face. She would rub her hands together as if she were cold and try to warm herself up, even though the temperature in the house was pleasant. I could hear her mumbling to herself and saying, 'Time to go, time to go.'

Every night for months, she left her bedroom and went straight to the hall closet. Without spreading her arms, she banged on the handle, frustrated that the closet door wouldn't open.

“I gently guided her back to bed, where she fell asleep again. After many weeks, I decided to find out why she was so keen to get into that closet during her sleepwalking episodes. One night, I deliberately left the closet door open.

“As usual, she emerged from her room around midnight and went straight to the closet. I watched as she reached down, her hands still clasped together, and with her fingertips picked up a petite suitcase from the floor of the petite closet. Where did she think she was going?”

3. Wasted time

A common feeling associated with abductions is the loss of time. Abductees have reported missing minutes or hours, and in some extreme cases days, where they were unable to explain or remember their whereabouts. Sylvia has experienced many of these events and describes one of the more surprising incidents.

“I was invited to lunch by one of my closest friends who was in town on business, and I remember being so excited to see her. After getting dressed, I headed for the front door.

“It was half past noon and the restaurant was only ten minutes away, so I was sure I'd make it to our one o'clock lunch. I remember grabbing my keys out of my purse and reaching for the front door handle. The next thing I knew, I woke up in bed, keys still in my hand, and the alarm clock said 3:20. I'd lost almost three hours.”

Sylvia quickly reached for the phone and checked the messages on the answering machine.

“My friend called me twice, asking where I was because I had apparently missed our lunch together. To this day, I don't know what to tell her.”

4. Medical dreams

Another common sign of a possible abduction is the occurrence of dreams in which the sleeping person is undergoing some form of treatment or procedure. Often frightening and always confusing, abductees claim that they not only see images from their dreams, but are subjected to stabbing, prodding, cutting, and invasive needles.

Typically, the dreamer is a frozen witness to horrific torture, paralyzed and unable to even call for help. Sylvia recalled one of her many medical dreams.

“The most disturbing dream, or rather nightmare, I was looking up into the darkness. There was no airy anywhere around me, but I could hear movement and whispers. A second later I felt a edged pain in my stomach.

“I wanted to reach for my stomach, but I couldn't move. Then I woke up from the dream, sitting on the bed with my hands on my stomach, crying. The pain in my stomach was so overwhelming that I vomited several times over the next hour. I had no idea what was happening, but I was sure something had been done to me.” Alternatively, she also recalls another nightmare that had a much more pleasant ending.

“In another nightmare, I was in total darkness again, and I felt long needles stabbing my eyes. I can't even count the number of times sharp needles stabbed me in the eyeballs. The next morning, I reached for the glasses on my nightstand and discovered that my vision was much less blurry, and although my vision wasn't perfect, I was able to get through the day without needing my glasses. They, up there, fixed my vision.”

5. Bright lights

During hypnosis, alleged abductees have been known to react with extreme fear to the memory of a brilliant airy appearing in front of them or shining through one of the windows of their home. This phenomenon has been documented by regression therapists as a precursor to an actual abduction and, understandably, arouses panic and anxiety in their patients.

Sylvia is no stranger to brilliant airy.

“Under hypnosis, I remembered being lifted out of bed and almost blinded by a bright white light. I only saw it for a second before I blacked out and woke up again on a cold metal bed. As soon as I remembered the light, I was forced to stay inside the house when it was dark outside.

“Headlights, road signs and anything brilliant sent shivers down my spine and I froze in fear. It's tough to explain, but I was filled with a mighty sense of dread that something bad was going to happen to me. It had been years since I had left the house after gloomy.” Sylvia tells us about her night at the hotel.

“My son and I were going to visit his sister, my daughter. We drove all day and then spent the night in a hotel. I went to bed early and fell asleep quickly, while my son slept in the next room. The next morning I woke up on the floor. My nightgown had been torn from the back and was put back on, inside out. At first I felt like I was being attacked, but the doors to the hallway and my son's room were locked from the inside and I was alone.

“After calming down, I got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast. As I was walking past the hotel reception, I heard two guests complaining about bright white lights flashing in their windows in the middle of the night. The receptionist apologized but explained that there were no lights outside the hotel. He was certain of this because he had been working all night, having been there since midnight.”

Allen suggests that these experiences may have a deeper purpose and meaning, possibly related to the evolution of human consciousness or the awakening of dormant psychic abilities.

Some abductees claim to have had profound spiritual insights or felt a stronger sense of connection with the universe after encounters with other people, which Allen interprets as evidence that these experiences may be part of a larger cosmic plan.

Whether you believe in the actual occurrence of alien abduction or not, the symptoms often remain unexplained and the fear that accompanies them is very, very real.
