Heaven is different for ever in individual and yes it can be something similar to Earth and there can be communities. This totally depends on your on your reality or frequency of learning. To some it may appear simplistic depending on how much knowledge the consciousness field (your Higher self) has attained and what has been learned throughout the passage of incarnations here on earth. The treasure that you bring back to heaven is what is attained here on the physical realm. The Materialistic realm accounts for very tiny percentage of the whole universe and so it is extremely scarce and even a privilege to be born here and experience life.
So yes to your question it can here like here on earth except without the misery and would be like a million time more harmonious then here. Souls will not stay there long because there true purpose is to get to higher realm of learning and to meld with the creator (GOD). This process can take a million years who knows and cannot be explained in elementary terms as it is strenuous imagine or to conceive.
