Hidden among the state-of-the-art buildings of the town of Haldia lies a seemingly innocent pond known as Dub Pukur (ডুব পুকুর). A sinister secret is lurking under his peaceful surface – a story about spells, murder and restless ghosts, which to this day arouse fear among the local people.

Every 25 years, on the night of Bhoot Chaturdashi, the 14th day of Krishny Paksh, residents report that hearing a bloody scream coming out of the depths of the pond-Mrozy reminder of the tragic extension of the midwife.
In West Bengal, he believes on the eve of this shadowy night, the souls of the deceased go to earth to visit their loved ones. That night they also perform rituals to tear off evil spirits.
