Throw in history

The Sheffield Island lighthouse was erected to support navigation by treacherous waters surrounding the island, which it has done for over a century. The island itself was initially purchased at the beginning of the 19th century by Captain Robert Sheffield, when the island was known as “White Island”. SHEFFIELD ISLAND Lighthouse Legends

In 1972, the lighthouse guard met with a premature and mysterious end. While observing the passing of ships by spy, he suddenly fell and died, never established without a clear cause of death. This incident was the beginning of the reputation of the lighthouse as a place of unexplained events.

In 1991, an archaeologist working on the protection of the place experienced a series of disturbing events. Karen Orawsky worked on Sheffield Island. One day she came to the island of Łódź. For the first time she heard something that she described as “hypnotic and mystical music” from the island, although she was unable to indicate the source.

Then she reported that she was crying for support, although no one was found. Even more bizarre was the sound of Foghorn. Foghorn or a signal of fog is a device that uses sound to warn vehicles with navigation hazards, such as rocky coast lines or the presence of other vessels in foggy conditions. It would not be strange, except that there was no fog on the island. These amazing sounds fueled speculation that the lighthouse and its surroundings are haunted by restless ghosts.

Mystical music and mysterious sounds

Reports about mystical music are not isolated incidents around the Sheffield Island lighthouse. Many guests described listening to melodies that seem to be lifted in the wind, disappearing as suddenly as they seem. Some suggested that these melodies are spectral echoes of the musical past of Captain Sheffield, a ghostly serenade, which opposes the explanation.

After the paranormal group examined the island, they also claimed that she met the spirit of a juvenile girl named Abby, who got stuck on the island since she died for unknown reasons. Could it be a cause of crying for the support that the guests reported about?

He crys for support, and Phantom Foghorn adds to the ghostly reputation of the lighthouse. These sounds are often heard during serene, motionless nights, leaving those who hear them with a constant sense of anxiety. The lack of any logical source of these sounds only deepens the mystery.
