In the world of cryptosology, a lot of mysterious creatures, and Chinese folklore offers its own range of unverified beings. Among them is XIzi, the creation described as a vast blood mat.

It is said that XIZi, often depicted as flat, similar to the creature, lives in distant and abandoned areas. His amazing appearance distinguishes him from more well -known cryptids.

The descriptions suggest that XIZi has a texture and color -like color of the mat, soulless stirring in the environment, thus avoiding basic detection. This camouflage ability makes it a particularly elusive creature, complex to see even in the natural environment.

One of the most striking aspects of XIzi is his alleged behavior as a bloodsucker. Stories say that this creature consists in waiting, appearing as a harmless mat or a stain of land.

When the non -suspected animal or human, Xizi comes to her, surrounding his sacrifice and drying it from his blood. This macabre nutrition method brought her a terrifying reputation among those who live in regions where observations were reported.

The beginnings of the legend of Xizi are complex to track, as is often the case with folklore. However, creature has been part of Chinese history for generations.

Action from 1788 in what the master did not discuss (子不語), a collection of allegedly real stories gathered for many years by scholar Yuan Mei, claims that in the spring of 1771 the underwater diver was “strictly wrapped by a reddish, large animal resembling rubbish equipped with many suckers” in the river in Zhengjiang, Jiangsus.

In the summer of 1976 or 1977, a adolescent girl floating in a pond in Ruly in Yunnan was allegedly attacked by XIZI, who wrapped so much around her shoulder that her father was obliged to cut off her hand. A few weeks later, the “floating shadow” took over a man floating in the same pool, encouraging residents to walk it. Apparently, they then found the man's body, “still wrapped in fried creatures covered with moss.”

In the autumn of 1993, two brothers looking for frogs in Grin near the Daluo River in Mengla's County came across a “green woolen blanket” on earth. The “blanket” immediately got up and wrapped around one of his brother's legs, but released him and escaped in a deep pool when his other brother burned him with a torch.

Some speculate that Xizi can be inspired by real animals or natural phenomena incorrectly interpreted by old observers. For example, some species of flat, camouflaged animals, such as rays or flat pinworms, could contribute to the development of the myth of Xiza.

Alternatively, Xizi can be a symbolic representation of natural dangers lurking in wild, warning people to carefully walk in unknown territories.

Xizi bills differ, reflecting the various regions and cultures of China. In some versions of the story of Xizi is a lonely creature, while in others it is presented as part of a larger group of similar beings.

A common thread in all these stories is the unsafe nature of creation and its ability to smoothly blend into its environment.

David C. XU suggests that a stray giant from Southeast Asia fresh water (Himantura Polopis) or an unknown Chinese species similar to him, could be created in the stories of Xizi.

Alternatively, it was speculated as a kind of freshwater cephalopod, which was reported as cryptides alone in Africa and North America. No known cefalopod is adapted to life in fresh water, but some species have extensive belts, such as Vampire Square (Vampiroteuthis Infernalis) and Kocze Octa -octopus (Tremoctopus spp.), Which can hide their arms.

Scientists and cryptozophylars still study these stories, hoping to discover all possible foundations in reality. While skeptics reject Xizi as an ordinary myth, the perseverance of its legend suggests that it has a significant place in the cultural consciousness of the regions in which she is known.
