In the tranquil village of Raia, located near Rachol in Goa, India, lies a road shrouded in shadows and whispered stories – the infamous Igorchem Bandh, or Church Road. Aptly named due to its proximity to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, it is located just behind it.
This section of road covered with red earth is described as a tranquil place except for the wind, narrow and almost deserted. The trail also gained notoriety for its chilling association with midday hauntings, as opposed to the more common night hauntings.

It is rumored that these malevolent entities prey on the weak-willed, seeking to possess their souls in the region, especially those with low self-control. Once possessed, victims are said to exhibit unearthly behavior, such as speaking an unknown language, their eyes burning crimson, and their skin turning ashen. According to legends, their whole body trembles until they die within a few hours.
Therefore, check the time before crossing the road. Perhaps this route is best traveled in the middle of the night.
